Osman Kavala's statement about the series broadcast on TRT's digital platform

I learned that the national broadcaster TRT commissioned and financed a certain script about me, which is broadcast as a TV series.

To evade the laws protecting personal reputation, they have used the trick of not pronouncing my name explicitly. Just as it was the case with the indictments they used to unlawfully keep me in prison, it is understood that this series, too, resorts to the method of distorting real events and through conspiracy theories seeks to create the perception that I am guilty.

I am not really surprised by the fact that public resources are invested for such a purpose. What truly surprises and saddens me though is young actors’ not feeling any discomfort about taking part in this ‘character assassination’ project that seeks to discredit me.
